I see that penetration testing is a trend now, but I don’t know if there’s any difference between penetration testing and hacking. I heard that penetration testing is very technical, is it true?

Sorry I don’t much experience to give a good answer. However, from my understanding, penetration testing is somewhere between hacking and testing. While we finds way to discover security hole in our system, the result is submitted to help build better product.
Yes, penetration is a very technical work and challenging too, but it’s a very important test in era where we are moving everything on to the Internet.
