ReportQuestion
Hi Thanh,
Hope you are doing good.
I am working as a system admin on Linux operating systems since 10 years.
I want to switch to software or hardware testing , or basically testing is what I want to do.
What knowledge I need to acquire before I make a move. Does it need any testing certification. How much the certification would help me in my career switch. Please provide with info which would help me get a good idea of the field.
Thanks & Regards,

You didn't share why you decided to switch your career to software testing after 10 years of experience as system admin of a Linux system. Deciding to switch job may or may not a good idea and I can't tell you because I don't know you in person, your context, your goal, etc.
Anyway, if you want to move to software testing, I think there would be no problem to get started because you had experience in computer before. I share detailed guide in one of my post: https://45.63.92.193/how-to-become-a-software-tester/. You can take a look.
Hope I can helps and keep me posted on how your journey is going
