Script vs scriptless automation, which one you prefer?

Hi all,

In the market of automation tools, there are tools which require you to have a decent level of programming skills to write script. However, there are also tools which do not requirement much programming skills to write. As an automation engineer, which one you prefer?

Best regards,

I vote for Script over Scriptless because I think Automation is still more about software development than software testing. It means that we still need a decent level of the followings:

    *Define objectives
    *Design framework
    *Coding/Debugging
    *Maintenance

While I observe that automation tools these days are designed so that user with less to no programming skills can use it, I still think that to have a strong automation test, we still need a strong programming skill.

Looking forward to ideas from automation experts out there 🙂
