    Sure you can.
    I guess you’re a developer, right? ๐Ÿ˜€
    You can do as a freelance tester, but getting a job/project depends much on your experiences of testing. You are good developer doesn’t mean that you’re good tester mainly because views from a tester is different with views from a developer. For some developers, it’s not easy to change his mind.
    My experience to be a freelancer testing is:
    1. Update knowledge and skills about testing
    Yes, of course. You can’t do what you don’t know.
    2. Create a good profile to show your experiences in testing
    You can join in many free projects to practice testing and training testing skills, and to have a good references in your profile. This is easy to understand. No one gives you work if they don’t know what you did and you can do.
    3. Start with easy / small works (projects) and low bid in some freelancer sites to prove yourself.
    4. Create a good relationship with others in software development field, because sometimes they can give you works.
    5. Finally, I think the main point is if you want to sell “your skills”, you must be good at “marketing” it. ๐Ÿ˜€
    Hope those help you.

    @Sang,

    Sure, there are many freelancers for software testing out there. You’ve probably heard about uTest. Give it a try if you like. I believe there are many testers on uTest can earn good bucks on there. I’ve joined uTest but I mostly join forum for discussion.

    My point is that if you don’t really really a few extra bucks into your account, you can spend your free time on reading books, article discussion, etc
